Additional Items of Note:
Work experience remuneration has generally ranged from minimum wage to as high as $1900-2000/week, depending on the employer. Expenses incurred by candidates during the completion of client work or other office-related activities should be reimbursed directly to the candidate. LPP Work Experience must be: a) located in the Province of Ontario and b) full-time (at least 35 working hours per week).

As of October 1, 2026, the Ontario Minimum Wage is $718.00/week. If as an employer you cannot pay the Ontario Minimum Wage or the Mandatory Minimum Compensation (MMC) as set by the Law Society of Ontario (LSO), you must apply for an exemption to the LSO.

The typical expectation is a minimum of 7 working hours per day, Monday to Friday, in accordance with LSO guidelines for both articling and the LPP. We consider 7 hours per day to be the standard reference point for placements, recognizing that there may be peak periods requiring additional reasonable hours (e.g., trials, closings, etc.).
